Ive been obsessed for a while with the idea of drawing my neighborhood in Washington heights, highlighting the apartment buildings held up by stilts by Fort George and Fort Washington. I wanted to create an image that would be very difficult to photograph (especially since i had to cut out all the buildings north of 190th street).
